North Melbourne Football Club, nicknamed the Kangaroos or ‘Roos’ for short, is the fourth oldest Australian rules football club in the AFL and one of the oldest sporting clubs in the world. Founded in 1869, the club’s headquarters are located at the Arden Street Oval in North Melbourne, Victoria, which was their home ground from 1882 to 1985. Currently, they play their home games at the nearby Marvel Stadium, and at Blundstone Arena in Hobart, Tasmania. North Melbourne despite finishing in 17th in 2023 broke their membership record by signing up 51,084 members which is only the second time the club has ever surpassed 50,000 members.
